I got it

'K. I found on Facebook a photo album belonging to a mexican-born spanish speaker. The context is irrelevant. I noticed that most of the content and comments were written in English so that a bunch of (apparently meaningful) followers could understand the pictures and captions. And it was weird since most of the album followers clearly speak Spanish as their first language.

Then I got it. I thought that writing my posts in English was a mere exercise of language practice. Now I see, there are better appointed times to speak, to read, to write and to express myself in a non-native language without looking like a snobbish freaking jerk.

De ahora en adelante, escribiré en Español. (A menos que advierta y justifique lo contrario :) )

P.D. Google translate sí funciona.

About movies, magazines and websites

Late night caught me reading articles on www.cracked.com. I’ve been following the website for a while. The writing style of some authors does really tear off oxygen-intensive laughters.

On the other hand, for those moments for reflexion and insight, I like to refer to www.relevantmagazine.com. There, I went as far as paying for the electronic subscription. Totally worth it.

The SpaceHD channel on my cable subscription is broadcasting ‘Carlito’s way’. It’s been a long time since I first watched it on VHS (or Beta, I’m not sure). Some scenes from the movie call upon my memory. Like those where the characters snort powder like a fish out of the bowl. Or the scene where Carlito finds out the actual kind of club Gail is dancing at.

Allright, some more code lines and I'll run the first tests on my C# 3-SAT solver.

Trigger

Leaving the city on a holy wednesday. Traffic is as expected. The ADO bus took a slight detour in order to avoid the bottleneck at Zaragoza and Río Churubusco. A Suzuki dealer opened near the Hangares station. At this point the bus is following exactly the same path I used to drive some time ago. Kind of difficult to ignore the fond memories this event brings along. Some of them as precise as the location of street bumps and the timing of traffic lights. Anyway, a good excuse to launch Blogsy and listen for a little bachata.
